Bright, Victoria. Summer 2026
The Society once again gathered once again in Bright in the High Country of Victoria in January 2026. It was a grand gathering indeed, with 20 Society members - Tim C, Sal G, Lenny, Isley, Maddy, Timmy, Billie, Darcy, Dan, Dom, Isaac, Paige, Bella, Nellie, Raoul, Archie, Hamy, Pippy, Sal C and Tim Brscoe - able to be there at least in part. Following on from the action packed week the previous January, this visit included epic adventures, plentiful feasting and many happy hours of hanging out, painting many river rocks and playing Hero Quest and (hilariously) Articulate. Highlights for this visit included kayaking the Ovens River, many afternoons of swimming, floating and water sliding at the River in town, more mountain biking adventures on Mystic Mountain (including inducting Dan into the thrills, and a fractured collar-bone for Raoul at the top of the infamous ‘Flowmingo’ run), and again biking to Wandi for lunch. The Escape Rooms in Bright also got a work-out with Isaac & Paige trying them out, followed by three more family trips including the absolute highlights of Lenny facing off against a ghoul with an axe (with Bella, Dan and Tim Briscoe sheltering behind him) in ‘The Larkdale Slasher’ and Billie, Archie and Hamy working together to find Agatha’s missing wand.
