Bermagui, Winter 2025

A winter family gathering in Bermagui, the spiritual home of The Exploration Society. Society members Nell, Raoul, Sal, Tim Briscoe, Archie, Hamy, Pippa, Billie, Darcy, Maddy and Timmy gathered for a week of beach combing, mountain climbing, epic cliff scrambles and generally - exploring!

Memorable explorations included a summiting of Mount Drom - the first ascent for Hamy! Multiple beach and coastline adventures and, especially, an epic quest to travel the coastline from Camel Rock via HorseHead Rock to Wallaga Lake. Unbeknownst to the crew, recent storms had completely changed the coastline making the expedition far more challenging than previous attempts. Special mention needs to be made of Billie who undertook the expedition with a broken arm! Ultimately a successful expedition nonetheless.

The prospect of further winter expeditions is highly likely!
